Payne Model 96 bamboo fly rod. This is a 6' 6\" two-piece for a 3 or 4 weight line weighing 3.10 oz. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis rod consists of medium-tempered cane with brown wraps tipped in gold. In my hand, the action is medium-fast, and it's a very special wand for small to medium-sized streams. This rod came to me in all original condition with two issues. One guide on a tip had broken through the silks, and the owner had used the cork as a hook keeper. Don Schroeder replaced the cork and spacer, rewrapped the third guide down on one tip, and reblued the cap and ring.
