Orvis, C.F. - Banty, Arnold Gingrich (56)

A 4' 4" for a 4 wt. built in 1964. This rod was purchased from someone who was reportedly a friend of Arnold Gingrich. The correspondence between Chris Lloyd and him is seen in the email from 2005-see photos. It goes on for a couple of pages. Shows signs of honest use but cared for. Bluing is intact on ferrules.

Arnold Gingrich was the co-founder of Esquire and wrote The Well Tempered Angler, The Joy of Trout, and Toys of a Lifetime.
