Abel – Pt. 5

For your consideration is an Abel Pt. 5 fly reel. The reel has a 3" diameter with a frame width of 1 1/8" and weighs 5.0 ounces. Serial number 9098. This is currently set for right hand retrieve but can be changed to left hand by flipping the pawl. The cork drag is smooth and strong. The only signs of wear are on the reel foot from mounting the reel on a rod and the back plate rim has a few marks and a rash. Abel reels are known for their quality and craftsmanship and are the perfect intersection of classic reel design with modern innovations.
