Gallas, John – Parabolic 7' 9" 5wt

For your consideration is a John Gallas P93 bamboo fly rod in original condition. This is John's rendition of a Payne Parabolic 7' 9". The P93 is a 7' 9" two-piece for a 5-weight line weighing 4.10 oz. All sections are full-length and straight.

This rod consists of medium tempered cane with reddish-brown wraps tipped black. The all cork grip has a wood reel seat check that transitions to the down-locking aluminum hardware – a handsome detail. The ferrule is size 15 with a perfect fit. In my hand, the action is medium-fast working down into the grip. Below the model number on the butt section is written #1 and 2005. Includes the original bag and tube with what appears to be a replacement cap on the tube. A handsome rod at a good price built by a respected builder.
