Taylor, R.D. – 7' 0" Presentation Model

For your consideration is an R.D. Taylor Presentation Model bamboo fly rod. This is a 7' 0", 3/2, 3wt/4wt., 3.0 oz. All sections are full-length and straight.

This rod consists of lightly tempered cane with bronze wraps and full intermediates, black tipping, gold and burgundy accents at the butt, and male ferrules. The grip measures a well proportioned 5" in length. Cap and ring hardware over a beautiful Spanish cedar wood spacer. Ferrules are sizes 14 and 9 with a perfect fit. In my hand, the action is on the fast side of medium-fast bending down close to the grip. The craftsmanship, impeccable detail, and sheer beauty of this rod are not captured in these photographs by me. This rod appears to have been lawn cast only or lightly fished and very well cared for. Includes the original bag and tube.

Bob Taylor tragically lost his shop to fire a few years ago and he is no longer building rods. It's increasingly rare to find one of his rods in pristine condition.
