Abel – Big Game No. 2

For your consideration is an Abel Big Game No. 2 fly reel. Serial #2034. This has the sawtooth drag plate and is built for LHW (Abel can convert this to RHW). Abel is known for their high-quality machine work, and classic design merged with modern innovations. This features aerospace-grade aluminum with a black high gloss anodized finish with a walnut handle. The cork drag is smooth and strong. A couple of inconsequential marks on the edge of the rear frame barely show even when photographed. Reel weighs 7.75 oz. (8.7 oz. on my scale with backing). Abel rates the reel for lines 6 through 10 – most often used with a 7 or 8. Original pouch included.
