Herman, Paul – Baby Hermann Trout Reel

For your consideration is a "Baby Hermann" fly reel handmade by Dr. Paul Hermann. This is a 2 5/8" diameter reel with a 1 5/8" frame width weighing 5.80 ounces. 

The click is neutral so it can be used in either LHW or RHW positions. The side plates are black Delrin and are flawless. There are only a few small marks on the rims that were difficult to photograph. Mostly inconsequential. Serial number "PH080" is stamped alongside the reel foot.  The protective rim and frame are polished aluminum along with the spool, foot, oil port, and crank handle. Pillars and screws are stainless steel. A very rare reel because we mostly see salmon reels by Dr. Hermann. Comes in a custom made Arne Mason leather clam shell case with Dr. Hermann's name and the reel's serial number stamped into the leather.
