Leonard, H.L. – Baby Catskill 1 or 2wt

For your consideration is an H.L. Leonard Baby Catskill bamboo fly rod. This is a 5' 6" 2/2 1-2wt. weighing 1oz. SN 1185. It's rare to find these with full-length sections in the original condition. The tips are a delicate 0.04".

In my hand, the action is medium. A svelte, full working taper. Diminutive cigar grip measuring 4". Well preserved nickel silver stamped butt cap and sliding 'wedding' band over butternut wood spacer. Bright nickel silver size 6 Swiss-style ferrule with a perfect fit. Size 3 perfection tip tops. Owner's name inscribed on the butt section. The rod is in original, excellent condition with original tube and bag with stiffener.
