Perfection Fly Reel – Beaverkill

For your consideration is a Perfection Fly Reel, Beaverkill model. This consists of Delrin side plates, a naval brass (aka Admiralty Bronze) shaft and click assembly and an ebonite knob. Pillar to pillar the reel measures 3", the diameter of the rims is 2 1/2", the spool width is 1". The reel weighs 5.10 oz. This reel is configured for LHW with close to a neutral feel.

The Beaverkill is a classic reel produced in Connecticut by Fred Balling. Inspiration is derived from reel makers from 1875 to 1925 when lighter rods were introduced in the northeast, particularly in the Catskill Mountains.
