Ross - RR3, Etna, CA with spare spool

For your consideration is an original Ross reel made in Etna, California before the company moved to Montrose, Colorado. The Original ‘’R’’ Reel Series was produced in both California and Colorado throughout the 1980s. The ‘’R’’ Series came in four sizes; #1, #2, #3, #3.5 for line weights 3 thru 10. The spools were produced in ventilated and solid.

This is a No3 with serial number No3-0094. This comes with both the ventilated and solid spools. The No3 holds a 6, 7, 8, or 9 weight line. I can not determine if the can is original to this reel. The card with the product states it is a 3.5 purchased in 1984 and the reel is marked as a 3. Mistake or not the original card and packaging to the reel? The craft tubular can is a real bonus as these are hard to come by.
