For sale is a Maurer Sweetwater Kaelin Special bamboo fly rod. This is an 7’ 9” 2/2 for a 5 weight line. George was known for custom orders and even changing model names if requested. The Kaelin Special might fall in one of these categories.

This consists of medium flamed cane with transparent warm brown wraps. Grip measures 6 1/4" in length. The butt section has a very slow developing swelled butt over an 8" span. In my hand, the action is medium-fast and frequently described as semi parabolic. Original bag and tube.
