Redwing – 8' 0" 5wt Parabolic Speedcast

For your consideration is a Redwing Parabolic Speedcast built by Joe Balestrieri. This is an 8' 0" two-piece for a 5-weight line weighing 4.25 oz. 

This rod consists of deep flamed cane constructed in a 2x2 node pattern with caramel wraps matching the rich node coloring. Tips are distinguishable from one another by the wrap coloring at the tip tops. Cigar grip measures 6.5" in length and shows minor discoloration from light use. Blued cap and ring over a well modeled wood spacer that coordinates well with the tipping color at the ferrules and the color of the agate stripping guide. There is some wear resulting in bluing loos to one side of the end of the butt cap. In my hand, the action is medium fast bending deep to the grip with some backbone. Feels like it is capable of long casts on larger water.
