Sharpes – Featherweight 7' 6" 4/5 wt.

For your consideration is a Sharpes Scottie The Featherwieght bamboo fly rod in original condition. This is an 7' 6" two-piece for a 4 or 5-weight line weighing 3.60 oz. All sections are full-length and straight.

This rod consists of impregnated cane with deep burgundy wraps. The all cork grip measures 5 1/4" in length before tapering to the reel seat. The cork displays very minor ridging, mostly in the reel seat. The bottom of the cap is stamped with a 711 and below this is a 1 followed by a space and 29. In my hand, the action is fast with a quick recovery and a strong dry fly demeanor. The first few characters of the Impregnated decal have been lost. The remainder of the decals are in great shape. Original bag with a tube provide for protection – these rods were not sold in tubes.
