William Mills & Son – Standard 7' 6" 5wt

For your consideration is a William Mills & Son Standard bamboo fly rod in original condition. This is a 7' 6" three-piece for a 5-weight line weighing 3.90 oz. The H. L. Leonard Rod Co. made rods for William Mills & Son.

This rod consists of lightly tempered cane with yellow wraps tipped red and black at the male ferrules and the wind and check. The all cork grip measures 6" in length before tapering to the reel seat and shows only minor ridging. The grip is soiled and has minor oxidation transference from the ring. The butt cap is stamped "Standard." The ferrule fit is as it should be. In my hand, the action is medium fast bending deep into the butt section. Includes the original bag and tube.
