For your consideration is a John Bradford Legacy bamboo fly rod. This is a 7' 6" 2/2 5wt weighing 3.95 oz. Serial number 1735. John did not like 3-piece rods so we do not see many. All sections are full length and straight.

John Bradford's Legacy bamboo rods are frequently listed in revered collections but seldom seen for sale. This one consists of mildly tempered cane with cinnamon wraps and gold tipping. Dickerson influenced intermediates for measuring your catch at 8”, 10”, 12”, and 14" from winding check. Oxidized hardware throughout is accompanied by an agate stripping guide. Cigar grip measures 6 1/2" in length. Classic cap and ring over a beautifully modeled wood spacer coordinating perfectly with the bamboo and wraps. Ferrules are 10/15 with a perfect fit. Numbered tips for ease of rotation. Tethered to the bag are two brass and cork ferrule plugs. In my hand, the action is on the fast side of medium-fast and buttery smooth. Includes the original labeled bag, labeled tube, and original hangtag. The rod is in excellent condition.
