For your consideration is a Dave Cottengim, Lulbegrud Creek, bamboo fly rod. This is a 7' 0" 2/2 for a 4wt based on a Payne 97 taper. The rod weighs 3.15 oz. All sections are full length and straight.

Dave makes a nice bamboo rod at a price point conducive to entering bamboo or fly fishing in general. This rod consists of straw-colored cane with brown wraps and red accents at the keeper, ferrules, and tip tops. Bright hardware throughout with an agate stripping guide. Following in the tradition of some builders in the past, Dave has eliminated a guide on the butt section to help keep this rod at a lower price point – one less guide, one less guide to wrap. A classic taper for small streams at a great price.
