Edwards – Quadrate Model #50, 8' 0"

For your consideration is an Edwards Quadrate, Model #50. This an 8’ 0” three-piece for a 5-weight line weighing 4.60 ounces for a 5-weight line. Based on the weight and ferrule sizes compared to other similar Edwards Quads, some might like a 4-weight line on this at certain distances. One tip is a replacement. I can not tell which as the node placement is similar.

Medium tempered cane with deep crimson silks and black tipping. Squared tenite winding check blends masterfully with the squared upper part of the grip which measures 6” in length. The up-locking reel seat is made entirely of tenite. The butt cap shows normal wear from being stood upright. The blued ferrules are size 11 and 15. In my hand. the action is medium-fast. This rod was beautifully restored by Steve Blake.
