Godfrey, Ted - Westminster 253D

For your consideration is a Ted Godfrey Westminster 253D. This is a 2 1/2" diameter reel with a 1 7/32" frame width weighing 4.25 ounces. 

The Westminster was designed in 2001 after the highly successful Classic Reel. Ted wanted a lighter-weight reel for shorter rods. Like the Classic, the Westminster Reels have internal self-lubrication, single screw take-down, and firm adjustable drag tension. This reel features a dependable click and pawl with an adjustable five-position tension system. The reels are finished with nickel silver counterbalances, rims, pillars, screws, and drag plates. The reel's design allows for left-hand to right-hand conversion. Currently, this reel is set for right-hand retrieve. Lightly used and well taken care of. The rims are smooth to the touch and absent of any rashes. Both front and back plates are free of scratches. Includes original leather suede case and paperwork. Ted no longer builds this size in the Westminster lineup, and the larger sizes sell for $1850.
