Guba, George – Payne 100 Taper

For your consideration is a George Guba Payne 100 taper bamboo fly rod. This is a 7' 6" two-piece for a 4-weight line weighing 3.50 oz. All sections are full-length and straight.

This rod consists of medium tempered cane with Payne-esque wraps and a red agate stripping guide. Grip measures 5 3/8" in length and is smooth. Cap and ring over the walnut spacer. The ferrule is size 13 with a perfect fit. In my hand, the action is on the fast side of medium fast. A very well-executed varnish application. Includes the original bag and tube.
