For your consideration is a late pre-fire H.L. Leonard 38L Baby Catskill circa 1960. This is a 7' 0" 2/2 3wt. weighing 2 oz. It's rare to find these with full-length sections. The tips are a delicate 0.0465".
Originally owned by a Leonard employee of the '60s and early '70s, Barry Bruce. In my hand, the action is medium-slow. A delicate, full working taper. Competent attaining a 40' cast and beyond if required. Diminutive cigar grip measuring 4 3/8" has minor soiling. Nickel silver butt cap and sliding band over butternut wood spacer. New varnish and transparent lettuce yellow/green silks masterfully done by Steve Blake. Size 9 Swiss-style ferrule with a perfect fit. Unfished since refinished. Original tube and bag with stiffener.
