Leonard, H.L. – 9' 6" Tournament

For your consideration is an H.L. Leonard Tournament bamboo fly rod. This is a 9' 6" three-piece for a 6 or 7-weight line weighing 5.35 oz. All sections are full-length and straight.

This rod consists of Leonard straw color cane with red wraps tipped black, red intermediates, and decorative signatures at the hook keeper and ferrules. Red agate stripping guide with agates in the tip tops – one red and one ivory. The 5" grip is soiled and shows only minor ridging. Butt cap is stamped "The Leonard Rod, H.L. Leonard Rod Co. Makers." On the reel seat above the butt cap it is stamped "Tournament." Perfect ferrule fit with a resounding pop. In my hand, the action is medium bending deep into the butt section. This rod is in original condition with the exception of 3 guides being rewrapped and 3 decorative wraps redone on the mid.
