Montague – Model 40

For your consideration is a Montague 40 yard model fly reel. This is a 1 7/8" diameter reel with a 1 3/8" frame width weighing 2.80 ounces. This is made for right hand retrieve but can be used for left hand retrieve with the outbound and inbound wind being similar. The rubber side plates are free of cracks and rashes. The coining side pattern remains boldly textured demonstrating no wear. The owner fished this on a 6' 0" Baby Catskill Leonard. He added a piece of the soft side of velcro under the reelfoot so the reel would fit securely. Under the velcro is a clear stamped 40.
