For your consideration is a John Pickard 6624 bamboo fly rod in original condition. The 6624 is a 6' 6" 2-piece for a 4-weight line weighing 2.75 ounces. All sections are full-length and straight.

This rod was made from F.E. Thomas Mahogany Cane and wrapped with Dickerson brown wraps and black tipping. Indicative Dickerson intermediates for measuring your catch at 6", 7", and 8" from the tip of the cork grip. The grip measures a well-proportioned 5" with cap and ring over a wood spacer. The ferrule is size 11 and could use minor cleaning to allow for a complete set. In my hand, the action is full working and on the fast side of medium fast with feeling into the grip. I'm told this rod has mostly been lawn cast.
