Robichaud, D.L. – 2 5/8" + spare spool

For your consideration is a D.L. Robichaud 2 5/8” trout reel weighing 4.10 ounces. David Robichaud made classic S-style design reels from his shop in Hudson, New Hampshire, until the mid-1990s. His work is well-regarded, and his reels are not often available.

The removable back plate is ingenious—press in on the plate surface and make a slight turn which then releases the pressure on the spring between the front plate and spool. Set for RHW. The side plates are free from any scratches. There are some minor marks on the rim edges. The spare spool is black with the other being silver. This comes in an Olaf Kundrus black leather reel case.
