For your consideration is an Alex Vardanis 7' 0" bamboo fly rod built on a Terry Ackland blank. This is a 7' 0" two-piece for a 4 weight line weighing 3.85 ounces. Alex lists this as also handling a 3 weight line.

This consists of medium tempered cane with an FE Thomas Brown Tone feel with amber orange wraps tipped with a cabernet. Wooden winding check. The grip measures 6 inches and has minor soiling. Cap and ring over a well modeled wood spacer. In my hand, the action is quick with feeling deep into the rod. A nice rod from this London, Ontario builder.
