Winston – Perfect 2 7/8"

For your consideration is an R.L. Winston Perfect. This is a 2 7/8" diameter reel with a 1 5/16" frame width. This is currently set for RHW but is easily converted to LHW by flipping the pawls.

Made for Winston by Hardy in England, these are finished in a deep Winston green and almost appear black in some light. There are some marks on the edge of the front rim that are more noticeable to the touch than the eye and one rash that has resulted in loss of the finish. With this said, the front face plate and rear spool are free of any scratches. The one rash mentioned is the only flaw that is very noticeable. Made for 4 and 5-weight lines. Original velvet bag, paperwork and box.

These reels were originally produced in an enamel finish but the finish was flaking off during shipping. The reels were recalled and then anodized. I called Hardy and they suggested if the finish is not flaking, then this is an anodized finished reel.
