Orvis, C.F. – Battenkill by Young

For your consideration is an early Orvis Battenkill 3 1/4" fly reel in excellent working condition. This is suitable for a 5 or 6 weight line. This was made in the late 1960s in England by LW Young & Sons.

This is about 1/8" larger than a Hardy LRH. The reel displays honest use. The adjustable spring tension lever works as designed. The spool was designed with a convenient notch to aid when putting the spool on with a line loaded.
