Young, Paul H. - Para 15

For your consideration is a Paul Young Para 15. This is an 8' 0" 2/3 for a 5wt / 6wt, weighing 4.0 oz. All sections are full length and straight.

Built in 1952, this rod features medium flamed cane. Don West received rods built in the Young shop prepared for him to wrap and varnish. This has only been fished 4 to 5 times since Bob Summers restored the rod and replaced the grip in 2012. Size 16 ferrule. This early '50s Para 15's characteristics are on the softer side compared to other Para 15 rods. This rod comes with three tips. Two are marked Wet and one marked X Heavy. I feel the extra heavy places unwanted pressure on the ferrule when casting. This tip could be converted to a Dry tip if desired.
