Hardy Bros. – 1903 Replica Bouglé 3"

For your consideration is a Hardy 1903 replica Bouglé in a 3" model (2 1/2" rim to rim not including pillars) made circa 1998. The modern 3" Bouglé reels have wider rims (2 3/4") with lower pillars. These 1903 replicas have a beautiful matte finish.

Consists of an ivorine handle, strapped rim tension screw, nickel silver roller pillar, 1903 caliper check, and Hardy block leather case. Tension is consistent used in left or right hand retrieve. Once tension is increased, it's a RHW reel. Three small inconsequential marks to finish on the rim by tension screw. Rough edge on slot of rear spool screw. This reel appears to have been used sparingly and well cared for.
