Hardy Bros. – 1903 Replica Bouglé 3"

For your consideration is a Hardy 1903 replica Bouglé in a 3" model (2 1/2" rim to rim not including pillars) made circa 1998. The modern 3" Bouglé reels have wider rims (2 3/4") with lower pillars. These 1903 replicas have a beautiful matte finish. The back of the certificate states Reel No. USA 317 made by J.W. Shiel on 2nd of July 1998. 1,000 of these were produced.

Consists of an ivorine handle, strapped rim tension screw, nickel silver roller pillar, 1903 caliper check, and Hardy block leather case. Tension is consistent used in left or right hand retrieve. Once tension is increased, it's a RHW reel. This reel appears to be in new condition. Comes with a spare smaller brass ribbed foot. Original box not shown in photos.

NOTE: There are instructions included with this to convert this so the tensioner also works for LHW. I have not tried this to verify it.
