Julius vom Hofe – Model 3 1/2

For your consideration is a Julius vom Hofe model 3 1/2 fly reel. This is a 2 1/4" diameter reel with a 1 7/16" frame width weighing 4.25 ounces. Stamped on the rear plate Julius vom Hofe, PAT. Oct, 8 '89., Brooklyn N.Y.

This consists of hard rubber side plates. There is a chip on the rim edge of the front and rear plates. Although made for RHW, the inbound and outbound resistance is so similar it can be used for LHW too. This is a wonderful piece of fly fishing history in great condition with exceptions noted.
