Orvis, C.F. – 6' 6" Battenkill

For sale is a rare 6’ 6” impregnated Orvis Battenkill rod in excellent plus original condition. The only exception to not stating ‘like new’ is the grip shows it has been handled – possibly mostly lawn casting.

Marked for an HDG (6) weight line, most prefer Orvis’ rods with one line down from the specified designation. Depending upon your casting stroke, this rod would be a 5wt and possibly a 4wt for some. Size 11 ferrule with 100% bluing and perfect fit. SN 71076, 2 7/8 oz., built by Ron White in 1973. Distinguishing for this Orvis period is the engraved hexagonal cap with metallic grey aluminum tube.
