Dickerson, Lyle - 901812

For your consideration is an original Lyle Dickerson model 901812 bamboo fly rod. This is a 9' 0" three-piece for a 7 weight line (I've heard some say it can also handle an 8) weighing 5.45 oz. All sections are full length and straight. 

This rod consists of medium tempered cane constructed in a 3x3 node pattern with Dickerson brown wraps and black tipping. Indicative Dickerson intermediates for measuring your catch at 7”, 8”, 9", and 10” from the tip of cork grip. Whitehead is inscribed on one flat. Slightly tapered cigar grip with down-locking hardware and walnut insert. The cork is mildly ridged. The ferrules could use a cleaning to help them completely set. Under very close inspection with an 8X loop, there are signs of some over varnish on a few wraps and wraps at the ferrules. The foot of the stripping guide has come through one wrap turn but has not pierced the silk. Even with the above mentioned, this rod is in great condition for its age.
