Rogue – Steelhead & Salmon 3 7/8"

  • For your consideration is a scarce Rogue Steelhead/Salmon Fly Reel made by John Shaw in the 1960s. This reel is designed to be used as a fly reel, casting reel, or trolling reel.

The unique Floating -Disc Brake will not heat-up, freeze-up, or play-out. Its' side plates measure 3 7/8" and the width of the spool is approximately 1". It has a unique drag system having an external lever that allows transition from a full stop to normal drag operation and then to free spool if needed. Click is strong and it sounds in either direction. The click sound has the option of being put into a silent mode by moving the unusual shape switch on the backside plate located to the left of the "Rogue" name (this only can be made silent on outbound line, inbound always has the click on). This particular fly reel is set up for right hand retrieve. Mechanically this reel is in solid condition. This is one tough reel.
