For your consideration is an original Ross No. 1 reel made in Etna, California before the company moved to Montrose, Colorado. This is a No. 1 with serial number No.1-0240. This holds a 3 or 4-weight line. The rims on the underside have a few marks and scuffs. The remainder of the reel is very clean. The Original ‘’R’’ Reel Series was produced in both California and Colorado throughout the 1980s. The ‘’R’’ Series came in four sizes; #1, #2, #3, #3.5 for line weights 3 thru 10. The spools were produced in ventilated and solid.
